GOOD FRIENDS

We are fortunate.

Fortunate to have grown up in such A beautiful city, fortunate to Have Done So with such a great group of friends And FORTUNATE TO SHARE THE ROOTS OF NEWPORT HARBOR HIGH SCHOOL.

Over the years, our friendships have grown beyond the circle we might have traveled in, the music we might have listened to or the sports we might have played, to become a family of friends who appreciate spending time together.

the Alumni Collective strives to not only strengthen but to extend our connections by providing opportunities for us to get together more often, while supporting causes that make our community better.

GREAT THINGS

Charitable giving is a core tenant of the Alumni Collective. By supporting worthy causes we give back to the community that shaped us, STRENGTHENING it for ourselves and supporting it for the future.

All Funds RAISED GO DIRECTLY TO THE ENC'S 501(C)(3)

THE ENVIRONMENTAL NATURE CENTER AND PRESCHOOL

BETWEEN THE LOCATION, THE PROGRAMS AND THE BUILDING ITSELF, THE ENC and it’s new PRESCHOOL IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER IN THE NATION. IT IS SOMETHING THAT WILL INFORM GENERATIONS TO COME AND SOMETHING WE AS A COMMUNITY SHOULD BE PROUD OF.

History

For some of us the nature center was a place we went to work on with Mr. House, for others it was a place we went to spend part of our lunch break. Either way it was and continues to hold an important place in our community.

The Environmental Nature center Has been a part of our community since 1972. Today, They are a landscape for learning, a SANCTUARY from day to day stresses, and a place of preservation and education, and it needs our help to Grow.

ENC PRESCHOOL

On an adjacent 1.3 acre property the enc has expanded their natural habitat and constructed our community's first nature based preschool which

  • has play areas but no playgrounds.

  • Recognizes that unfacilitated outdoor experiences are a crucial form of learning for children.

  • Is staffed with qualified early childhood educators and environmental educators.

  • Teaches all the basics of a typical preschool and more.

  • has children who spend the majority of the day outdoors.

  • has indoor spaces that are warm, welcoming and conducive to learning.

  • is an integrated part of the Environmental Nature Center.

  • is multi-sensory and recognizes multiple intelligences.
